CSRXP LAUNCHES TELEVISION AND DIGITAL AD CAMPAIGN AGAINST REBATE RULE, AKA BIG PHARMA BAILOUT
Aug 4, 2020
Encourages Administration to Reject Measure That Would Increase Premiums on Medicare Part D Beneficiaries, Cost Taxpayers Billions and Boost Profits for Drug Companies
Washington, D.C. – The Campaign for Sustainable Rx Pricing (CSRxP) launched a television and digital advertising campaign Tuesday against the proposed Rebate Rule in Washington, D.C. and eight key U.S. Senate and presidential swing states.
“The administration promised to lower prescription drug prices, not hand Big Pharma a massive bailout paid for by seniors and taxpayers,” said CSRxP executive director Lauren Aronson. “The administration must withdraw this misguided proposal that would increase premiums on Medicare Part D beneficiaries, cost taxpayers more than $200 billion, hand Big Pharma a more than hundred-billion-dollar bailout and do nothing to lower drug prices.”
CSRxP’s campaign includes cable television and digital advertising in Washington, D.C. and key U.S. Senate and presidential swing states, including Arizona, Colorado, Florida, Iowa, Maine, Michigan, North Carolina and Wisconsin.
